A clean slate. At some point we all want one.
I’ve always loved blank notebooks: they are the unknown, stories waiting to be written, pages waiting to be filled. Every brilliant writer has started with an empty word document, a blank notebook – a new blog. My last blog lasted about a year and a half. It started during a transitional point in my life, a fresh college graduate. I’m now at another transitional life point as I’m about to move to Korea to teach English for a year. And I feel like I need an empty notebook: the old one is filled.
“Gandalf the White and all that.” This title was birthed from comments on the final post of my previous blog:
Recently, an immigration officer decided that he didn’t want his wife around. So he put her name on a terrorist watch list, and she wasn’t able to leave Pakistan for three years.
That’s pretty creative.
