Yesterday was a special day.

It was the birthday of Victoria, the crown princess of Sweden.  I’m not sure what the deal with royalty is, but it seems like they have a list of 5 names to choose from for their children.  All royal Swedish kings have been named Carl for about a 500,000 years now.  Somebody needs to knock these parents on the head and offer up a trendy new name like Storm, the genderless Canadian child.

Yesterday was also Bastille Day, France’s national day – celebrating the storming of the Bastille during the French revolution.

Annnnd yesterday was the birthday of two wonderful additions to my life; my baby sister Emma Catherine, and my roommate of four years Christine Marie.  Both of whom have royal (and even French) names.  Go figure.  They are also both insanely stubborn and intelligent and beautiful…and weird.  Happy birthday girls.  Emma, welcome to the strange world of being an adult in Europe and underage in America. Christine, welcome to…your mid 20’s.  aaaaaah.

Speaking of France, here’s a video of my sister Hannah dancing in front of the Eiffel Tower.
